Jazzy is an associate at Civitas Public Affairs Group where she supports the firm’s clients through research, strategy development, legislative engagement, and advocacy work.

Prior to joining Civitas, Jazzy worked at Third Way as a Policy Advisor for the Alliance for Entrepreneurial Equity, publishing reports and providing data to aid lawmakers in assisting minority and women owned small businesses. She also worked at the United States House of Representatives and achieved the titles of Staff Assistant, Legislative Correspondent, and Legislative Assistant in Congressman Jim Cooper’s and Congresswoman Stacey Plaskett’s office.

During her time there, she spearheaded the Congressional Caucus on Black Innovation dedicated to promoting policy that sustains and protects Black entrepreneurship and innovation, while at the same time dismantling systemic barriers which prevent wealth creation within Black communities.

Jazzy attended Rhodes College where she received her B.A. in International Studies and History with a minor in French. In her free time, she enjoys learning different languages, taking her rescue dog on walking adventures and traveling up and down the East Coast with her sister.
